Mr. Shashidhar P Pallakki is the founder and C.E.O of Pallakki NDT Pvt Ltd, a Post Graduate in M.Tech, ASNT & ISNT LEVEL-III IN UT, RT, PT, MT,ET,VT, ISO 9712 LEVEL-II UT, RT,PT, MT, ET & VT and has 25 yrs in NDT Field, started proprietorship in 2001 & switched over to Pvt ltd in August 2018 & the Employees Strength is 50. Specialized & gained experience in all six NDT Methods.

Professional Director
Dr Shyamsunder Mandayam is the Professional Director of Pallakki NDT Excellence Centre, Bangalore & Vice President of Indian Society of Nondestructive Testing (ISNT). A B.E (Metallurgy) from MS University Baroda and a Ph.D from IIT, Kharagpur, he is a 38 years experienced researcher, technologist and trainer with deep domain expertise in the multidisciplinary area of Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) of materials, components and structures as applied to Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Power, Nuclear, Renewables, Transportation and other industries. Passion to drive, lead and synergize between domains and adjacencies to enable best-in-class solutions using cutting edge technologies to industrial problems and challenges through collaborations, knowledge sharing and networking.
His Excellence
- Worked extensively in the innovation, development and transition of new and Advanced NDE / Inspection techniques to the factory shopfloor as well as other field environments.
- He is involved with NDT training for Level 1, 2 and 3 for several methods over the last 30 years for different certification schemes.
- He is currently mentoring, advising and consulting with several start-ups and MSMEs and pioneering the adoption of NDE 4.0 (a subset of Industry 4.0) and Inspection through digital transformation (IoT, Digital Twins, AR/VR, Analytics using AI and ML, etc). He is passionate about Industry-Academia interactions and working towards enabling the same.
- He has 12 patents and 180+ papers in various journals, books and proceedings and delivered 100+ invited talks.
- Received several prestigious awards like ISNT National NDT award for R&D, GE India’s JRD Tata award for excellence, GE Whitney award to name a few.
- He is a Honorary Fellow of ISNT and a Life Member of ASNT, MSI, AMSI, InSIS.
- He is on the Editorial Board of ISNT’s Journal of NDE and a Reviewer for several other international journals.
